Warehouse Manager –Upper Tier COMAH Site

We are hiring for an experienced fine chemicals / pharmaceuticals or related professional for a role covering the warehousing for an upper tier COMAH site in the North West.

What you’ll do

You will be responsible for coordinating all activity in relation to raw materials and packaging intake, final good dispatch, and internal stock movements. This will ensure practical processes and systems are fully aligned and auditable.

You will be responsible for the management of raw material and packaging deliveries, to include:

  • Management of delivery/dispatch calendar in line with site restrictions.
  • Ensure validated CoA/CoC available ahead of vehicle site entry and off-loading.
  • Production and issuing of labels for all raw materials and packaging delivered.
  • Maintenance of the system to reflect deliveries received.

Internal Stock Movements to include:

  • Management of stock locations.
  • Ensuring FIFO principles are applied always, in line with the Works Order process.
  • Stock variations.
  • Management of stock status e.g. QA pending.
  • Maintenance of the system to reflect all activity accurately.

Management of finished good dispatches to include:

  • Management of delivery/dispatch calendar in line with site restrictions.
  • Vehicle inspection.
  • Ensure correct documentation is available to go with dispatch.
  • Maintenance of the system to reflect dispatches.
  • Validation that system reflects dispatches.

Further responsibilities core to this role will be:

  • Responsible for control of all types of waste with the relevant suppliers.
  • Responsible for timely completion and circulation of relevant inventory reports.
  • Responsible for the leading of a team of 2.
  • Enforces EFfCI and housekeeping in all internal and external inventory areas.
  • Enforces health & safety rules in all internal and external inventory areas.
  • Takes overall ownership and control over all stock.
  • Take part in investigations around stock variances.
  • Take part in monthly/year end stock take activity.
  • Become a valuable member of the team in helping implement new ways of working using the ERP System.
  • Complete any adhoc activities as deemed applicable by the business.

Your background

We are seeking a candidate with experience of the fine chemicals or pharmaceuticals or related markets. This role is hands on and necessitates a Fork Lift Truck (FLT) licence. You will have good communication skills and attention to detailing. Ideally experience of barcoding systems. Finally, you will be a good man manager and be able to demonstrate strong teamworking competencies.

Desirable experience is experience of warehousing in a top tier COMAH site, working to FIFO principles, IOSH Health and Safety management, and experience of implementation of ERP systems.
