Chemical Production Operator
We are hiring for a Chemical Production Operator to work at our client in Manchester. This is a permanent role working on a shift basis covering weekdays and weeknights. Our client is an established fine chemical company with a semi automated plant so the person joining needs to be hands on and with experience of plant operation.
What you’ll do
The Production Operator will be responsible for the operational aspects of fine chemicals production moving into the plant having been researched by colleagues in the business. Ultimately your goal will be to get synthetic chemical processes running to large scale (up to 9,500 litre chemical reactor) and produce what is required to the expected quality. You will be following batch sheets and setting up the reactors and plant equipment to produce the chemicals as required.
We are seeking someone with a background in plant chemistry, working with reactor vessels, drying ovens and following batch sheets. This role will provide training in key areas however it’s critical any applicant has experienced the above. This is a hands-on physical role in some aspects and ideally you will have a fork lift / FLT licence. We need you to also have a strong health and safety knowledge, close attention to detail and good communication skills.
