We are hiring for an analytical chemist for a pharmaceutical company in Manchester. Our client is a pharmaceutical services provider that manufactures for clinical trial or commercial supply. Their projects are varied and can be in support of development, full scale manufacture, technology transfer or stability studies amongst others. They are an established, global company.
What you'll do
You will be working in a varied role in support of projects requiring analytical chemistry expertise. This can be related to raw materials analysis, intermediaries or final products. Mainly this role will be using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GMP) environment with a further 15 or so techniques routinely used in this laboratory (GC, IR, UV, wet chem, pH, titrations...), which you may be called upon to use. You will be recording and reporting data to a high degree of accuracy and carrying out your work in line with standard operating procedures (SOP's). This role will require you to think on your feet and solve problems which may arise in the course of this testing.
We are seeking a graduate or equivalently qualified individual with experience of the pharmaceuticals market, you will have worked as a HPLC analyst prior ideally in the GMP and GLP environment our client operates under. Candidates with a year in industry graduating this year are welcome to apply.
