6 Month fixed term contract
We are hiring for a temporary scientist to work in a company producing chemical additives on a bespoke basis for clients worldwide. They are looking for an individual to cover a project to expand their data on product efficacy and help drive geographic market growth.
What you’ll do
This role will produce scientific data on our client’s portfolio of products regarding their effectiveness given different conditions encountered at their clients in various parts of the world, for example performance at different temperatures, in different pH and other chemical factors from the environment.
You will be using bespoke laboratory techniques, that are trainable and it is unlikely you’ll have prior experience of. You will be ideally able to organise yourself in the lab, planning your weeks lab work to achieve project goals with the full support of managers and colleagues.
This role does involve running broadly similar scientific processes to each other on a regular basis. Critical to success in this role will be your ability to produce consistently high-quality data and maintain high standards of laboratory work.
We are seeking chemistry background ideally or bench experience. Ideally, you’ll be a graduate though A-Level or BTEC level candidates are welcome to apply. We do not require applicants have experience.
The most important thing is how you are with repetitive tasks, this is a key role which will produce a body of data that is very important to our client. The action of producing this is repetitive and we are seeking someone who enjoys this kind of task, generating consistent data and will be keen to get focussed on the task in hand and delivering the information that’s critically required by the team.
