Job Description
We are hiring for a successful and expanding pharmaceutical services provider in the North West. This is a supervising role covering a small team of analytical chemists and management of projects.
What you’ll do
You will be developing new analytical methods (using High Performance Liquid Chromatography - HPLC and Gas chromatography - GC) using quality by design principles, ensuring new methods are validated and issued in a timely manner and ensure analytical methods from clients are transferred effectively. This will involve statistical analysis, and interpretation of data, investigation and root cause analysis. Further, this will involve implementation of any associated CAPAs.
You will be completing documentation associated with Laboratory functions in line with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), preparing and reviewing GMP related documentation and providing technical support, guidance and training to junior members of staff. Further, you will be responsible for GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) compliance in your areas and assist the day to day running of the laboratory in implementing priorities and workloads.
Your background
You will be a graduate, or equivalent, in chemistry or an associated subject. You will have experience of working with and managing a busy laboratory area with a strong emphasis on HPLC and GC in your background. You will have a proven ability to work well with others in team collaborations, and have skills in project management and leadership, ideally with evidence of applying these in a laboratory environment. Any experience of working with inhalation products is advantageous.
