Summary:
Our client is a medical devices company whose products help patients heal better. They have a comprehensive range of medical solutions supported by a large body of clinical evidence, many of which are manufactured at their location in Gargrave. This role will provide quality control support to these activities.
You will provide functional and project support to the Quality Control (QC) Team. The position is suitable for someone with a scientific background who has a “can do” attitude to drive improvements in the QC department alongside completion of routine types of activities e.g. Stability report / protocol generation.
You will be a competent lab analyst that will conduct laboratory analysis/development as required, you will have a good understanding various analytical techniques and be able to problem solve and lead investigations using techniques such as HPLC, GC, IR, Titrations and pH.
What you’ll do:
You will be responsible for executing test methods, method development, leading QC operations projects, compliance and improvement, act as QC investigational lead, stability protocol and report generation. Also, initiation of stability studies, and providing QC support for key and large-scale products. You will be working for current Good Laboratory Practice (cGLP).
Your background:
You will have a degree / HNC or equivalent in chemistry or a related physical sciences area. Ideally you will have experience of working in a similar role.
