Job Description

We are hiring for a Quality Control Manager in the Pharmaceutical industry, who will be leading a team of 11 staff in a contract manufacturing support role. You will be responsible for analytical testing carried out in your laboratory, and all aspects of laboratory management detailed below.

What you’ll do

Broadly the purpose of this role will be to ensure the laboratory produces dependable quality control data in regards manufacturing activities of pharmaceuticals. This laboratory is compliant to Good Manufacturing Practice and all activities are carried out in accordance with EU GMP. You will be scheduling workload of the laboratory, to deadlines, while responding to ad hoc requests for analysis in a timely fashion.

You will coordinate and review raw data and analytical reports the QC team generates, to ensure compliance with GMP, this will involve stability studies, investigations into deviations, and CAPAs, alongside management and administration of the LIMS system. Our client operates ad key performance indicator system and this role will promote efficiency improvements and continual development of staff around progression they can make to higher standards of performance.

There are 11 staff who report into this role, however some will be seniors and therefore direct reports will be a smaller number.

Desired profile

  • Qualified in chemistry to BSc level or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), and wet chemistry analysis.
  • You will have managed during your career ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience of working with, ideally upkeeping a Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Available to work in or relocate to North London / Home countries
