Job Description

We are hiring for a QA Officer to work in the pharmaceutical industry, this is a permanent role based in Deeside. Our client works with organisations all over the world to develop new pharmaceuticals and biotechnology products for a range of diseases. They are privately owned and employ just under 100 people giving them a great entrepreneurial feel and community spirit with individuals helping shape the future of the company.

What you’ll do

You will be working in a critical area of the business providing QA support to the team. A QA officer works closely with all areas of a pharmaceutical business including production, the laboratories, project managers and the business development / sales teams. This will mean a split between document review and approval and hands on QA support to the production teams. You will regulatory be working with the GMP area of the business to provide QA support for bench activities.

  • Checking and approving Batch Manufacturing records
  • Checking updates to documents such as Standard Operating Procedures
  • Reviewing and advising on deviations
  • Preparation of dossiers for QP approval
  • Presence in Production areas to review documentation, perform line clearances and perform QA checks
  • Checking and reviewing of Lab data and specifications
  • Assisting with internal audits and Client audits

Your background

You will be a graduate in pharmaceutical science or chemistry, and understand good manufacturing practice (GMP) and how this is applied in industry. The ideal candidate will be able to show a background of performing well in teams and having good confidence to represent their department in team meetings. Previous QA experience is preferred however the company will look at enthusiasm, positive attitude and strong desire to move into this profession if this is not the case.
