Job Description

Our client is a leading contract development, manufacturing and packaging organization, provides specialist services to the pharmaceutical, biotech and live biotherapeutic industries. Due to continued expansion, is recruiting for several roles within its Operations group:

What you'll do

Reporting to the production supervisor the roles involve the production of a wide range of non-sterile clinical and commercial products.  Day to day activities will include responsibility for compliance to good manufacturing practise (GMP) standards, area and equipment maintenance, dispensing, manufacturing, packaging and warehousing activities.

Solid dose and oral liquid experience with such processing techniques as granulation, compression, capsule filling, bulk liquid manufacture and filling are required.

A thorough understanding of the principles and execution of GMP and health and safety within a pharmaceutical production environment is required.

Your job will be to produce pharmaceutical products, this is done using highly detailed processes and plans that are laid out and then followed in the laboratory to the letter. Working at a lab bench, mixing defined quantities of ingredients together, and using specialised machinery to turn this into tablets or fill capsules. This will involve accurate weighing and measuring and complying with reporting and documentation of the process completed.

Much of the work you will do will be being done for the first time, so there is a lot of variation in types of product being made and quantities you’ll be making them in. This work is all compliant to GMP, which is Good Manufacturing Practice, a standard by which a laboratory works to ensure it’s working to the best practices. By following this process, the products can be produced in a safe and consistent environment.

Your background

You will be educated in the sciences to A-Level/BSc or equivalent / qualified via experience to the point you can execute the above duties. Experience of working to GMP would be ideal. Key traits we are looking for is enthusiasm and drive, and we are keen to see examples on the CV of achievement outside of work. This can be team sports or individual hobbies you have that show yourself to be a self-starter with a high level of motivation.
