Job Description
We are keen to speak with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) experienced individuals in the Deeside/Chester area. The opportunity exists in a client’s production and packaging areas, to be involved with and support the manufacture of liquid, solid (tablets and capsules) and semi-solid (creams and gels) drug products. The role is wide ranging and will take on responsibilities as needed by the business.
What you’ll do
Your job will be to produce pharmaceuticals and to also work in the packaging operations; you will be experienced in working in a GMP environment, either working at a lab bench, or pilot scale. Typical operations include dispensing, mixing/blending and product specific processes such as bulk liquid generation, capsule filling, granulation, tabletting. Process operations may vary from small scale (1- 2 kg) through to 100 kg scale.
All operations involve accurate weighing, measuring and compliance with batch specific documentation. In the packaging area, you will be working with blister, filling and labelling lines and inspecting products . This is not a particularly routine environment as production schedules are planned in accordance with the needs of clients.
Much of the work you will do will be being done for the first time (at that scale); so there is a lot of variation in types of product being made and quantities you’ll be making them in. This work is all compliant to GMP.
Your background
You will be educated to A-Level or equivalent / qualified via experience is the main trait we are looking for. Alongside a thorough understanding of the requirements of GMP and ideally packaging and production experience, is a positive and can-do attitude to get on with projects as needed in the business. We are keen to see examples on the CV of achievement outside of work. This can be team sports or individual hobbies you have that show yourself to be a self-starter with a high level of motivation. We are happy to consider individuals qualified to higher level of qualification also.
