We are hiring for a Process Development Chemist to work in the development of synthetic routes for introduction into a full-scale process. This is a permanent role.
What you’ll do
You will be working on taking processes from the bench to a plan scale predominantly. This will involve supporting scale up to mainly 8,000 litre processes and associated reactions, though there are higher production capacities at our client facility. This company provides a service to clients so you will be preparing samples for them as needed and troubleshooting the plant processes. Key techniques at the bench will be Chromatography - HPLC and GC with training provided in these fields.
You will be a graduate or equivalent in chemistry or a closely related field. You will have an interest in organic chemistry and experience in practical chemistry at the bench. Any background in long term projects, and naturally any development experience, will be a significant advantage. Our client is happy to invest the time in training up someone with limited experience or a new graduate.
