Job Description

Our client is an analytical laboratory with an outstanding track record for delivering analysis competitively and on time. The company provides environmental analytical services predominately of soil and groundwater samples. Because of recent expansion, they are now looking to recruit a Sample Scheduler to work in a ISO 17025 and ISO 9001 accredited lab. 

What you’ll do

Principal responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Log samples into the Laboratory Information Management System as per client schedules

  • Liaise with clients to ensure their requirements are met

  • Organise the subcontracting of analysis

  • Arrange the dispatch of sample media to clients

Other responsibilities

  • Unpacking, sorting and weighing samples in preparation for analysis

  • Archiving and disposal of samples

  • Calibration of laboratory equipment

  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping

  • In addition to your normal duties, you may occasionally be required to undertake additional work necessary to meet the needs of the business, without additional remuneration

Your background

We are seeking someone with an organised and methodological approach who can work in a busy environment running to tight deadlines. This role calls for a good IT ability particularly with Excel and Word, and professional phone /email manner.

Further Information

  • This is a full time post working 8am – 4.30pm

  • Salary - £15,000 - £16,000 per annum
