We are recruiting for an Internal Account Manager on a permanent basis to work in the Manchester area.

Our client is a world Class manufacturer and supplier of surfactants and associated chemicals for the personal care and cosmetics industries also offering a wide range of chemical manufacturing capabilities on behalf of its global customer base.

What you’ll do

You will be experienced in customer service/internal account management, ideally with a background in surfactants/chemicals.

 

The successful candidate will have a strong Internal focus for International and Contract Customers. You will also be required to utilise the MRP system to update the price list and send this out on a regular basis to customers and will have the responsibility of contacting customers by phone and email to confirm that they have received their new price list, encourage them to place regular orders, and build up a relationship with these customers.

 

In addition to the above you will feedback market price information to directors and supply chain

using the leads generated by the team at exhibitions, compile list of actions, and communicate them to the team.  This role will have responsibly for updating the orders received / compared to budget and follow up those that have not placed orders, amending orders, tracking date movement communication to customers and order confirmations and acknowledgment.

 

Taking responsibility for managing incoming orders from International and contract manufacturing customers, working with the Production Co-ordinator, Transport & Logistic and Supply Chain departments to ensure customer expectations and deliveries are met.

 

You will have one direct report, the internal account coordinator.

 

Your background

We are seeking a candidate who is a clear communicator, confident, self-motivated and proactive with enthusiasm, a passion for sales and putting customers first. Suitable candidates will have the ability to priorities multiple orders, allocate stock to meet all customer expectations.

 

Ideally with a background/understanding in surfactants/chemicals.
