Health and Safety Co-Ordinator

We are recruiting for 2 x Health and Safety Co-Ordinator’s on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract basis to be based in Dunstable responsible for managing risk and job assessments, COSH, documentation and process logging for Machinery and manual handling.  

Our client are a global supplier of bonding solutions and manufacturer of adhesive-based products for Healthcare and Industrial applications. With a wide-reaching global footprint, having 19 manufacturing and operations facilities in 10 countries across the world.

What you’ll do

We are seeking candidates who are problem solvers, can own a problem and seek out improvements where required.

The successful candidate will offer support to senior and middle management in carrying out their responsibilities with regards the health and safety of employees within their areas of control; and advising on any shortcomings identified.

This includes: Assisting where required with hazard identification (risk assessment process).   Generating a Health and Safety Plan to prioritise and coordinate site improvement projects, carrying out inspections & audit of work areas with senior Managers and promoting a positive Health and Safety culture, with the aim of continuous improvement.

In addition to the above you will be responsible for generating statistics with regards accidents & incidents and reporting sites’ health and safety performance to senior management team on a monthly basis Ensuring continued legal compliance i.e. Health and safety regulations are complied with on multiple sites.

 

Your background

Suitable candidates will hold a Health & Safety Professional Qualification: NEBOSH / IEMA / IOSH / COSHH coupled with degree level or equivalent gained from experience within a Manufacturing and Medical devices environment.

You will have experience of statistical methods & practices, carrying out and reviewing of risk assessments and maintaining & archiving documents & records gained in a Health & Safety manufacturing environment.

 

The salary on offer is £ 40,000 to £ 45,000
