This is an opportunity to join a long established highly successful contract testing organisation in the UK. You will be broadly responsible for the laboratories operations to the standards it is required to work to and a full breakdown follows. Salary for this role is up to £55,000.
What you’ll do
You will be responsible for maintaining the quality management systems and compliance in the laboratory to EU GMP standards. This will involve planning and scheduling the workload of the lab to the deadlines ensuring metrics of timescales are met sometimes to tight deadlines, and responding to any ad-hoc requests in a timely fashion.
This will involve direct line management of the QC, Stability and Sampling teams. You will be coordinating review or raw data and analytical reports from the QC lap, to meet GP standards, ensuring calibration and personal training are maintained and adhered to, conducing laboratory investigations and ensuring deviations and CAPA’s are completed and closed within timescale’s.
The role will organise compliance and administration of the LIMS system, you will be a super-user.
The role will also identify and implement efficiencies for example KPI’s and ensure the Quality Control department delivers excellent internal and external customer service.
You will be driving continuous improvement and ensuring GMP / compliance standards are kept high. This role will further formulate and maintain QC objectives, ensuring alignment against the business plan, direct the Quality Control Programme and ensure data integrity and continuous production of products which are consistent with required standards. Finally, you will be assisting the maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) on site.
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control professional with a background in leading a team or the skills to move into a leadership function, with strong listening and motivational skills. You will be a confident and driven individual, comfortable airing views and able to adapt to changes in workload. This role calls for a strong ‘hand on’ manager, with our client keen to continue their dynamic and fun working environment. You will have a strong HPLC, UV, GC and IR background, with a strong technical understanding of Chromatography specifically HPLC and GC.
