UK salary to £50,000 (depending on location the salary is to be adjusted)
We are working with a Life Sciences consulting firm who are seeking a colleague to work in Real World Evidence (RWE), Health Economics, Outcome Research (HEOR) and Market Access.
This role will focus on providing access to information to clients who are engaging in clinical research activities. Providing a quick means of getting to key information as rapidly as possible.
What you’ll do:
You will be working in supporting researchers globally, who are looking for specific services or clinical information. They build private marketplaces to simplify the purchase of research services, this saves time reduces costs and improves access. Customers are academic labs though to CRO’s, Big Pharma and all in between.
You will be providing the functional expertise (knowledge of supplier market, regulatory requirements, commercial challenges etc) to assist researchers and suppliers.
The specifics of this are as varied naturally though to give an example a client may be interested in a data set related to patient outcomes, in a field aligned with their own research. You would in this case be working to facilitate the access this information.
The service the company provides works by having a panel of suppliers who you will be recruiting people onto, these suppliers will have themselves data that is of relevance to the clients who are then connecting to this via the Category Director and colleagues.
By interviewing and understanding the specific wants and needs of a client, you will be able to make recommendations from this supplier base of which specific services/resources/data sets will be best applied.
As a Category Director you will be keeping an overview of the commercial and scientific zeitgeist, and maintain a solid ear-to-the-ground of happenings in Real World Evidence (RWE) Health Economics, Outcome Research (HEOR) and Market Access. You will strive to become the companies expert in these fields and called upon for advice and recommendations.
This will involve a great deal of involvement in the market, maintaining a strong network, following up on industrial contacts, leads, and maximising exposure of the business to external opportunities and information. You will spend a lot of time communicating internally and externally initially remotely though as COVID allows this will be in person / at conferences etc.
• Interact directly with scientists to understand and refine their technical requirements for
Value, Evidence & Access studies as needed.
• Review, optimize and manage the content available for Value, Evidence & Access, including the types of services available, supplier capabilities, recent innovations, technical content, and marketing materials.
• Continually identify, update, select, and integrate qualified Value, Evidence & Access
• Help to drive client implementation and adoption
• Lead industry forums and roundtable discussions
• Attend industry technical conferences
• Identify new tools and technologies and make them available through the marketplace.
• Verify user and supplier compliance with any regulatory or internal procurement
We are seeking someone with a good background in HEOR and RWE ideally however a solid experience in commercial integration, clinical research or epidemiology experience. Qualified to graduate level or higher.
You will be working closely with the suppliers of the business and customers, so we are seeking significant experience of this activity in your background. You will have leadership, networking and influencing skills, be a self-starter and happy with working independently, with a desire to have impact on epidemiology research.
