I am a chemistry graduate of Nottingham Trent University with a first-class degree. I particularly enjoyed the analytical chemistry module. I have a strong interest in science and engineering, this has led me to fill my spare time by researching, designing, and building projects. Some examples are an electric furnace, a water electrolyser and a 2500L anaerobic digester which creates renewable methane gas by digesting food and garden waste.
In June of 2020 I completed a yearlong industrial placement working for a globally recognised engineering company. I worked within the R&D department, looking at how to improve diesel engine exhaust emissions. I also worked for the Electrical, Control and Instrumentation team, who are responsible for maintaining and improving the data acquisition and measurement systems within the site.
Analytical skills include HPLC, UV, GC, MS, ICP-MS
