Are you a chemistry graduate (or equivalent level) looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced laboratory environment? We are currently recruiting for a QC Analyst to join a well-established chemical company in Manchester on a 3-month fixed term contract..
What You’ll Do:
In this role, you'll be supporting the laboratory team in managing a high volume of incoming materials that require analysis. Your core responsibilities will include:
• Performing chemical analysis on raw materials, primarily using HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography)
• Supporting additional analytical testing using a range of techniques as needed
• Accurately recording and interpreting data in line with established QC procedures
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards at all times
• Working closely with colleagues to meet testing deadlines and project goals
Your background:
This role is ideal for a graduate in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline who is seeking industry experience that a short term contract will provide, or looking to build upon previous lab-based work (e.g., gained through a placement or internship). We're looking for someone who is:
• Familiar with laboratory practices and safety procedures ideally with a strong GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) knowledge.
• Comfortable working with analytical instrumentation, particularly chromatography / HPLC
• Detail-oriented, methodical, and able to manage time effectively
• A team player with a proactive and reliable approach
• Available to start immediately and able to commit to a full-time, 3-month contract
