Analytical Chemistry Project Manager
We are currently working with a leading Contract Research Organisation who synthesise high-grade chemical products for a range of industries, including Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and Biotechnology. They are looking for a Project Manager to head the Analytical Chemistry Department at their site in Camelford.
What you’ll do:
As the Analytical Chemistry Project Manager you will be involved in coordinating all aspects of the analytical service within a dynamic environment.
This will involve:
• Keeping an overview of day-to-day analytical activity.
• Planning and pushing forward strategic projects.
• Supervising a team of 2 analytical chemists
• Liaising with staff and managers from all areas within the company and external customers and contractors.
A good background in analytical and organic chemistry is required for this role. The successful candidate will have practical experience in an analytical lab, running samples, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment and method development.
It is preferred that the candidate have experience in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectroscopy (LCMS), Gas Chromatography (GC) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR), or as many of the mentioned techniques as possible.
Experience working within a GLP or GMP environment would be an advantage, along with other analytical techniques, such as Chiral HPLC and Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC).
